DeskBridge Client Production V1 user instructions

Use these instructions to install DeskBridge Client Production V1, connect to your workspace, upload files, request approved apps, and contact support.

Install the client

  1. Download the installer for your device from this current-version page only.
  2. On a Windows PC, use the MSI for an installed local DeskBridge Client or the EXE for the portable no-install app.
  3. On Linux, install the DEB or RPM package. On Android and macOS, open the downloaded package for your device.

Workspace application boundary

The DeskBridge remote workspace is a managed Linux workspace with curated approved applications. Windows .exe and .msi installers do not run inside it.

If you need software inside the workspace, use Available Apps or Request App. DeskBridge will route the request to a native Linux equivalent, an approved compatibility package if supportable, or an administrator-managed alternative.

Upload files

  1. Connect to the remote workspace.
  2. Press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+U in DeskBridge Client to choose files, or drag files from your computer onto the remote desktop window.
  3. Open transfer history with Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F to review progress, destination paths, retry controls, and audit details.
  4. Completed uploads appear in Home > Downloads > Uploads and through the DeskBridge Uploads shortcut where present.

Display modes

Press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Z to open display controls. Display modes include Sharp Text, Balanced, Low Bandwidth, Fit to Window, and 100% Pixel. Your administrator controls which display features are available for your workspace.

Evidence for administrators

Transfer and app-request activity should appear in admin evidence review so administrators can filter by user, tenant, event kind, status, and date. This supports rollout evidence without relying only on workspace-side logs.
